We hope you have had a successful start to the school year and are finding some routine in your days.  With every new fall season comes plenty of community activity!  Please take a moment to read through the following announcements!

COMMUNITY CALENDAR: 

Sunday, September 16th:  Edgemere Falcon Football Carwash

Times:  9am-12pm

Location:  North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Dept (next to Food Lion)

In their continuing support of fellow Edgemere Falcon, Ronnie Fortney, the Falcon football program will be hosting a car wash fund-raiser this Sunday (9/16) from 9am-12pm at the Edgemere VFD on North Point Road. Stop by, get your car washed and support an amazing effort!

 

Saturday, September 22nd:  ESP Lady Warrior Field Hockey Hosts ‘Hockeypalooza’

Times:  8:30am – 4:30pm

Location:  Sparrows Point High School

Come out and cheer on our Lady Warriors as they host teams from all around during this great fall event!!! Apparel, food trucks and field hockey... it doesn't get much better!

 

Friday-Saturday, September 28-29th (and Every Friday & Saturday through October):  The 2018 Fort Howard Haunted Dungeons

Times:  Tours start at sundown.

Location:  Fort Howard Park

This Sparrows Point tradition for over 30 years is for HALLOWEEN lovers everywhere. Victims from as far as Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia have travelled to experience the fright and terror of 'The Dungeons'.  Enjoy the 1 hour tour that includes a walk through the terrifying woods of the Fort Howard county park, and the infamous fort dungeons, haunted since the historical battle of 1812, where the likes of Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Hannibal Lector await your presence.  Operates every Friday & Saturday through October.  $17/person.  For more information:  https://www.facebook.com/haunted.dungeons/?fref=ts

 

 

Tuesday, October 2nd:  North Point-Edgemere VFD Monthly Food Truck Night

Times:  5:00pm – 9:00pm

Location:  Behind the North Point-Edgemere VFD (located next to Food Lion)

Thursday, October 4th:  North Point Community Council General Meeting

Time:  6:30pm

Location:  North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department (next to Food Lion)

The DNR will be at the Oct 4 meeting of the North Point Peninsula Council.  Meeting starts at 6:30 at the Vol. Fire Hall. We will be upstairs. They asked to give information about the hunt. All are welcome.

 

Saturday, October 6th:  CTES PTA Hosts ‘Fallfest 2018’

Times:  10am – 2pm

Location:  Behind Chesapeake Terrace Elementary School

Come out and celebrate the fall season with the Annual FALLFEST hosted by the Chesapeake Terrace Elementary PTA!!! Crafts, scarecrows, games, auctions, food, fun and MORE!!!

 

Monday, October 8th:  Edgemere ES PTA Meeting

Time:  6:00pm

Location:  Edgemere ES

Come out and be a part of a great organization supporting our kids for the 2018-2019 school year!

 

 

SHOUTOUTS! 

Congrats to Coach Yate’s u12 SESC Team for taking 2nd Place in the Labor Day Classic!!!!

 

GOOD LUCK to all of our ESP participants, families and teachers in the new school year! Congrats Parents!

 

Coach Tom’s Lady Warriors started of their season with a 6-2 win on Sunday in the rain. They played great together, I cant wait to see what this group of girls accomplish together this year. We cant believe this is our last rec season together after 6+ years...

 

The Lady Warrior 5th/6th grade teams played their first game of the season today. Our 5/6 team tied 2-2 and our 7/8 team won 6-2. Great job girls in the rain...pics below are from our 5/6 game, the second half was miserable!

 

GREAT JOB on opening day goes out to the BLUE CLAWS U6 teams!

From a Falcon Parent:  Unbelievably proud of not only our 10u Falcons but the fans, parents, friends, other age groups etc. Pretty amazing to see the way everyone supported and cheered for us down the stretch and for our big OT Win! That Falcon Family feel is definitely real! Thanks everyone!
